Olly Enjoys a Paw-Some National Dog Day

The UK’s favourite four-legged friend is back on screens to celebrate National Dog Day on 26th August 2017. Olly (you might recognise him from the world’s largest dog show earlier in the year) takes a break from stealing hearts and attending competitions to take a well-deserved rest, courtesy of

Few pets can make TV presenter Peter Purves chuckle like Olly the cheeky Jack Russell – as viewers can see during Olly’s stay at pet paradise, The Seckford Hall Hotel & Restaurant in Suffolk.

Only Olly can cover the hotel and its grounds at such speed, nosediving in to bed and road-testing the pet-friendly holiday experience with his doting human, Karen. Watch him in action here:

LateRooms, the online accommodation site, believes every pet and their owner deserves a treat, whether they’re a national sweetheart or not. Two legs, or four, there’s a huge variety of hotels across the UK waiting to welcome holidaymakers through the door.

A survey carried out by LateRooms this summer, which involved more than 1,000 members of the public across the country, revealed a third consider their pets to be the biggest barrier to an impromptu break away. But with a collection of more than 2,400 pet-friendly hotels on offer, with services ranging from pet friendly facilities to Pet Concierge and dedicated pamper packages, it couldn’t be easier to find the paw-fect getaway for pets and their people.

Karen Parker, Olly’s owner, said: “As a family we never like leaving Olly at home when we go on a break, so dog-friendly hotels provide the perfect chance for us all to get away without having to. The facilities at Seckford Hall, like many others that LateRooms offers, are brilliant and it’s reassuring to know that Olly could have as great a time enjoying them as we would.”
